Circa 1930, Queen Anne style burr walnut cocktail cabinet. The two doors have three cast brass engraved strap hinges on both sides. These hinges are faux the actual hinges are on the sides. In the centre are two massive brass straps which incorporates the escutcheon. The doors opens to reveal an uninterrupted interior with pull out slides. Beneath the two doors is a foliate carved frieze which continues around the sides, and two narrow drawers with cast brass swan neck handles. There is a wonderful carved and shaped apron with open fretwork and a large shell in the centre, which continues to form the quarter brackets of the legs. The legs are profusely carved at the top and finishing on curled feet with foliate carving. Wonderful colour and very stylish.

Size 157cm high x 102cm wide x 59cm deep.
