A really nice quality mahogany Chippendale revival lamp table. The table stands on reeded legs with carved capitals. The legs are united at the base with shaped stretchers joining a central platform. The freize around the table edge is fluted and carved with floral paterae. the corners of the table are truncated and the edge of the table is also carved with a running Greek pattern. The table top is quarter veneered in fiddle back mahogany. The table oozes quality every area is carved and shaped and finished to the same high level all the way around to allow standing centrally, and is most likely by Maples of London. The mahogany is quite dark but rich in colour and the whole is in excellent condition. C.1900.
