Pretty Edwardian inlaid mahogany x frame stool
This is a very pretty stool. It is wonderful quality. It is Edwardian, dating to around 1910 and is made in mahogany. The stool is designed as an x frame with curved risers and slat sides. The stool is inlaid in bone and exotic woods with rococo swirls and a central vase and fruits. This same cartouche is on both sides of the stool.
The curved seat is upholstered in velvet which is in clean condition. The joints are good and there is no sign of damage or repair or worm.
This is a top quality stool. There is something of the Sheraton or Adam to the design. It would look good in a period bedroom but is too good to be hidden away upstairs. It would look equally good as an occasional stool in a well furnished principal room. It is an opulent looking piece.
The stool is 22 inches wide and 22 inches high (max) and 14 inches deep.
This will post anywhere in UK with Parcel 48 for £16.50
