Petite George II Mahogany Bureau c. 1740 bureau small petite %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A very small and most attractive George II mahogany bureau retaining original handles and escutcheons. Oak lined drawers with fine dovetailed joints. In very good original condition and of a charming size and yet very usable and practical. Interior of pigeon holes and small drawers (one with divisions for ink wells), all of excellent quality and with oak linings and brass button handles.

A small repair to the top edge of the fall, well blended, solid and not noticeable. Some ink stains and the shaped green baise (possibly original also) with marks and wear but serviceable and not requiring replacement.

Original lock and original bracket feet.

A lovely example of a very rarely seen small size.

Dimensions are:

31 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 41 inches high.
