We are offering for sale this lovely pair of White Onyx and Ormolu Cassolettes in the Regency style. The ormolu lid has a foliate finial which reverses into a candle sconce, as shown. The onyx body is decorated with a central ormolu band which joing a pair of rams head masks each terminating in one end of a swag of roses. The onyx body rests on an elegant ormolu circular stem and flaring base with ornamentation.

The onyx bases are square with extended corners and bear ormolu decorative panels to all four sices.There are four ormolu ball feet.

As these cassolettes are reversible, they are not only decorative, but useful.

Dimensions:

Height: 9 3/4 inches - 24.75cm (to top of finial)

Height to top of sconce: 9 1/4 inches - 23.5cm

Width of base: 3 5/8 inches - 9.25cm

Material: White Onyx and Ormolu

Condition: Very good. There are some very tiny nibbles to the edges of the bases, consistent with age and use. The ormolu is in perfect condition.
