We are offering for sale a pair of reeded Corinthian column, silver plated lamp bases by JP & Co., which we understand is the mark for James Pinder & Co. a Sheffield maker who was working in the late 19th Century. They are also marked e.p.n.s. as shown and were originally candlesticks. They stand on a weighted, square, stepped base, with a gadrooned top and bottom step. The bulb holder is silver toned to match.

The wiring is modern, as is the plug and bulb holder, but to comply with British Standards, it is suggested that they be checked by a certified electrician prior to use. The bases are left unshaded to allow the buyer to choose shades to suit their own particular decor.
