Pair of Victorian Carved Mahogany Torcheres
An exceptional pair of 19th century torcheres in the manner of Gillows.
The circular tops sit above ornately carved pedestals raised on gadrooned trefoil bases which are raised on attractive cushion feet. The bases are very heavy, weighted with lead for stability.
Very good condition, structurally all sound with some age related wear and a good overall colour. The tops are later but otherwise all original.
English, circa 1880.
