Pair of metamorphic chapel benches and antique tables by Pearson & Brown of Weaste in Salford, Manchester c.1890. Of ingenious design they can be used as pews or the backrest can be laid flat to make a table surface. Pushed together to make a splendid picnic/canteen style table and benches (table width 26″, height 30″). Superb quality, very robustly constructed from solid pitch pine boards on heavy cast iron frames. Note the slightly dished shape of the seats for extra comfort. Excellent original condition. Locking key supplied
