Pair of French Walnut Cabinets. Bedside Lamp Table
This is a pair of small French marble top cabinets, dating to the early years of the 20th Century.
They are light in stature, veneered in walnut, and inlaid with contrasting marquetry work.
Each cabinet is serpentine fronted and has 3 shallow drawers,
They are not identical, but complement and contrast, perhaps as 'his' and 'her' cabinets. One has symmetrically veneered drawer fronts, the other is inlaid with floral details, and the tops have differently figured and patterned marble. Certainly from the same workshop.
They have delicately curved cabriole legs with brass mounted toes.
The drawers are nicely lined in grey lining paper.
