Circa 1920. Rare pair of Fischel bentwood occasional antique tables bearing the label ‘FISCHEL Czechoslovakia’. The square laminated wood tops on shaped bentwood supports over shaped under stretchers. Both sturdy and polish in perfect condition. DG Fischel and Sons began making quality bentwood antique furniture in 1871, when the patent of Michael Thonet expired. Whilst many bentwood chairs can be found, tables and in particular, pairs of tables are very rare.
