Pair Bronze & Ormolu Table Lamps & New Shades
We are delighted to offer for sale this superb pair of late 19th Century converted table lamps and new shades by the makers of the Downton Abbey TV Series lampshades.
The lamp bases are of urn form in bronze with twin foliate handles on ornate, acanthus leaf moulded bases in ormolu and have been converted into table lamps in the past.
The shades are of the 'Ballerina' style and have a plain gold crown, with the body of black and gold silk damask, soft antique gold fringe and tassels, trimmed with black and gold braid.
The lamps have been rewired with braided fabric covered wire in gold in the antique style and have all new fittings. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that they be checked by a qualified electrician before use.
Height to top of shade: 24 1/2" - 62.2cm
Diameter of shade: 13" - 33cm
Base width: 10" - 25.4cm
Base depth: 6" - 15.25cm
Material: Bronze & Ormolu
Condition: Excellent. The Shades are new.
