Stunning Oriental side cabinet with hand painted decoration probably dating from the early 20th.c. Of traditional construction from pine or fir timber (note the adzed cut texture to the sides and rear). Low two tier cupboard (internal depth 14″) with left hand and centre doors opening to allow access. Ten panelled front, with a repeated decoration of flowers and leaf shapes against a silver ground. The pattern is continued across the frame which is shaped to resemble bamboo. The front also features a simple carved frieze across the top and an enclosed apron across the bottom with further painted decoration. Some wear to the paintwork, generally very good original condition.
