A neat sized one-piece aesthetic movement oak pedestal desk, with tooled and gilded green leather insert, canted corners, tea caddy moulded edge with a Brass presentation plaque screwed to the top ‘special subscription race, Hawick common riding 1901, won by J Ed Murray on Mango’, the frieze with one long drawer with reeding top and bottom, flanked by a bank of four graduating drawers with similar handle and similar reeding. The sides and back with polished panels, with further reeding and chamfered corners. All resting on eight tapering toes.
