Georgian oak longcase clock by Thomas Mason of Bawtry. A nice oak case antique clock with 8 day movement set in a brass face with steel hands and a painted hunting scene above on brass. The movement has just been stripped and cleaned and serviced. On inspection we found that all the component parts to be in very good condition. The case is in good order with no sign of any woodworm and the nice mid oak colour. No lock in the door but will try find something suitable. All in all a very nice antique clock. Thomas Mason appears in Brittains Volume 9 as operating in Bawtry from 1770 to 1793.
