Oak Housekeeper's Cupboard/Robe
A late 18th/early 19thC. oak country housekeepers cupboard/wardrobe. The cupboard having 2 shaped and fielded panelled doors with "H" shaped brass hinges. Between the doors is a fluted panelled hinged door which is released from inside the left hand door to reveal a 3 shaped shelf interior. The corners with applied quarter turnings. The main cupboard with 2 later extending clothes rails. The base with 4 dummy drawers across the top which allow clothes to hang into the base from the top. Below are 2 rows of functional drawers, 1 with 3 dr and 1 with 2 dr. All with shaped brass back plate handles. The whole standing on a bracket foot shaped plinth and the ends with matching fielded panels. In very good condition with warm patina. More pictures available on request.
