Here is an example of a very good quality antique oak dresser base and rack displaying a deep rich colour and small proportions, circa 1730. Built in the reign of George II, it is of a North Wales origin. The dresser boasts small proportions allowing it to sit in most places in the house. The rack features two shelves with a shaped frieze and protruding canopy with iron hooks on each shelf. The rack features its original pine back boards. The base features fielded panel sides and front with oak cross-banding to the front cupboards. The doors have a working lock and key and feature brass “H” hinge, brass escutcheon and brass knobs. Inside the base, there are two removable pine shelves and above this, there are two secret hidden sovereign compartments (boxes) to hide valuables. The dresser boasts great craftsmanship.

This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room, dining room or kitchen. This item would certainly grace any home and a great investment as they are an extremely functional. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.

Condition Report
The item is in very good condition and is commensurate with its age. The dresser has most likely been reduced during the Victorian period. The dresser boasts an excellent colour / patination. Nominal old use marks (cup marks) to the top of the base but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The brass escutcheons and knobs have most likely been replaced during the Victorian period. The back boards to the base are old replacements of Victorian origin. Free of active wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.

UK Returns & Refunds
A 7 day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. You will be given a refund excluding the delivery cost as long as the item is returned in the same condition. The buyer is not required to cover the cost of returning the item if the item is returned at the point of delivery. If the item is delivered and left with the customer, a return fee will apply (which is the same cost as the delivery fee). We only will collect returns using our own specialist furniture delivery company. We will not accept returns via a courier service (due to experience of damaged items in transit).
