Good quality oak cheat of five drawers with arts and crafts handles in brass. The drawers are smooth and well constructed . There is an unusual chequer inlaid band in green and ebony wood. There has been a repair where a small part is missing. The backboard is ply and has suffered from worm but this has been treated and will not present any further problem. There is also a plate glass top not shown in the photos. Each drawer has locks stamped Waring and Gillows and the drawer is impressed Warings. Waring and Gillows were a top class maker from Lancaster.
