Musical Portico Clock
A nice example of a rare hand made ebony and Gilt Portico Column Musical Playing mantle/sideboard antique clock with ormolu mounts.
There is a musical device in the bottom case which plays a tune when it strikes on the hour.
The clock is an eight winder with a brass fretworked lightweight pendulum and has a Silk suspension movement.
Approximate Measurements for this special musical clock are Height 16 Inches x 8 Inches Width and Depth 4 Inches.
CONDITION
The condition is quite good for the age although the clock has been adapted to be musical rather than ringing a coil kong which were always hard to hear.
