A Regency period twin fusee bracket/table antique clock. An impressive ebonised chamfer top case surmounted by a brass acorn finial. Brass sound fretted side panels with silk backing. Brass quartered, recessed front panels and standing on brass bun feet. A cast brass bezel with convex glass. A pull repeat to the side. Canted front brass case side edgings. A glass back door showing the mechanism. A convex dial with blued steel hands signed 'Mortimer Strand' (London) A strike/silent lever to the top of the dial. A quality double fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell of 8-day duration with shaped top plates. A nice quality brass pendulum with finer micrometer adjustment. A pendulum transportation lock. Circa 1820.
