Very unusual maritime theme table lamp c.1960. In the form of the Varne lightvessel which marks the treacherous Varne sandbank off the coast of Kent in the English channel. Scratch built model in sheet steel painted bright red/orange with VARNE in large white letters on both sides, just like the real lightvessel, and with stainless steel portholes. Single bulb in the tower within a glass sleeve. Some old wear to the paintwork, generally excellent condition with the original switch. Rewired and PAT tested.
