Mid Victorian Camphor Wood Campaign Trunk Victorian camphor brass bound %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Circa 1860, good sized mid Victorian camphor wood and brass bound campaign trunk. The top with brass insert in the centre (not engraved) and brass strapping to the sides. The deep lid has a flush brass lifting handle on the front, and opens to show various compartments and a retaining arm on one side. Beneath the lid is a brass escutcheon similar to the plaque on the top, and further strapping around the sides and on the base. On either side are large cast metal lifting handles. The trunk has excellent colour and size.

Size 49cm high x 113cm wide x 51cm deep.
