Mid 19th century Indian Talwar. Has a large iron hilt with some engraving and fluting. Broad, ribbed and grooved Simitar single edged blade which is engraved with Indian symbols and writing. Probably a Sikh weapon. In good condition for age, solid but some rust staining and wear to blade. Note there is no scabbard with this.

Approximately 82cm and blade 67cm.
