A matched pair of super quality 19th century Mahogany sofas in the late 18th century style. With birch frames, raised on scrolled legs and carved knees. Retaining the original horse hair, firm standing, tight frames and ready for upholstery. It is unquestionable that these 2 sofas originate from the same workshop. They share the same construction, timber, quality of carving, upholstery methods and work beautifully together. The footprint, seat height of both sofas is identical, however they do differ in the height of the backs and the rake of the arms. Full dimensions below. English, Circa 1880.
