Massive English Antique Museum Bookcase/Display
Huge Antique Museum Bookcase/Display.
This English antique bookcases is just amazingly good quality.
Originally made and used in a museum in The North East of England and dating from around 1880.
It is made in solid ash wood timber which is still in the original pale finish.
The top bookcase, display area has six adjustable shelves.
In the cupboarded bookcase base, the doors open to show a large storage area with one fixed shelf.
This antique bookcase is in very good, original, clean and strong condition.
It even has the period iron grills in the plinth to allow air flow under the bookcases.
It splits at the waist in to two sections.
Perfect to use as an antique shop fitting.
This bookcase has four metal label holders, one on each of the cupboard doors (only two are shown in the photos).
Now in our Clitheroe antiques showroom, just off the A59 in Lancashire.
