A very pretty little painted dial Longcase antique clock by Nichols and Sons, Newport Isle of Wight. 8 day, bell striking movement, lovely 12” arch dial with gilded decoration to the corners and a painted scene of a lady to the arch. Subsidiary calendar and seconds dial, and blued steel arrowhead hands. The case is of finest mahogany veneers with boxwood stringing and fluted hood columns with gilded Corinthian capitals.
