Mahogany & Marquetry Inlaid Display Cabinet Cabinet Display Mahogany %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A spectacular Edwardian Sheraton Revival mahogany display cabinet with profuse and wonderfully finely detailed hand-cut marquetry inlay. The cabinet features a ‘pagoda’ top with boxwood line inlay, satinwood banding, and harebell garlands, above a Vitruvian scroll inlaid frieze and two satinwood banded astragal glazed doors opening to reveal a faux moiré lined interior with two shelves, and is raised on elegant square tapering legs terminating in spade feet, united by a harebell garland inlaid panel.

Width 43” (109cm) Depth 14” (36cm) Height 61” (155cm)

Condition and Details of Restoration
This cabinet is in original untouched structural condition and completely sound. The polish has been re-finished, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some old marks underneath the polish as would be expected on an example of this age, though in this case all extremely minor. The faux moiré lining has been replaced, once again by our own craftsmen.
