Magistretti Mezzochimera Table Lamp Artemide 1966
The lamp features a folded design in methacrylate, which softly diffuses the light from the three bulbs set at different heights, producing a soft light with a distinctive 1960s style. This folded shade sits upon a triform base, which, in turn is seated upon a round black enamel base.

Vico Magistretti (October 6, 1920 – September 19, 2006) was an Italian architect who was also active as an industrial designer, furniture designer, and academic. As a collaborator of humanist architect Ernesto Nathan Rogers, one of Magistretti's first projects was the "poetic" round church in the experimental Milan neighbourhood of QT8. He later designed mass-produced appliances, lighting, and furniture for companies such as Cassina S.p.A., Artemide, and Oluce. These designs won several awards, including the Compasso d'Oro and the Gold Medal of the Chartered Society of Industrial Artists & Designers in 1986
The Artemide Elisse lamp won the Compasso d'Oro award in 1967. Artemide was ounded in the 1960s in Italy, and is a global leader in architectural design based lighting. Based in Milan, where Magistretti was born, Artemide has been responsible for some of the most iconic lights designed in the last 50 years.
The lamp has been rewired in black braided fabric covered wire and has a new black 3 amp plug, and black inline on.off switch. It takes 3 dimmable 25 watt B15 or sbc pygmy bulbs, which will be supplied with the lamp. They are available online. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Diameter of base: 8 1/4 inches - 21cm
Material: Metal and methacrylate shade
Condition: Very Good. The shade is in perfect condition, and the wiring is new. There are tiny signs of wear to the triform base.
