Late Victorian Rustic Wooden Pig Bench
This antique pig bench is constructed from solid wood, possibly pitch pine, and dates from the late nineteenth century. It is a rustic country piece, and is in need of some restoration work as it has been badly affected by woodworm (this has been treated).
Condition: Overall in need of some restoration. There is some heavy scuffing, wear and knocking to the woodwork and the piece has been badly affected by woodworm and damp. The woodworm has been treated. There is some significant loss to the feet and some movement to the leg joints. It does not sit flat to the ground due to the to the uneven loss to the feet. The finish is grubby and rough and the piece would benefit from being cleaned and waxed.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 45cm high, 200cm long, 14cm deep (top), 30cm deep (feet) (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
