Late Victorian/early 20th century Lobster Pot helmet on antique cast iron tripod stand. This finely made helmet has a hammered ribbed one piece scull, four piece lobster tail, bowed pierced cheek pieces and with show rivets. Has an adjustable nasal bar with locking wing nut. Marked with an 'M' stamped on the forepeak and 'M' on the adjustable nasal bar. Also stamped underneath forepeak with 'VI'. In good condition overall for age. Note one of the leather hanging straps for ear piece repaired.

Approximately 38cm long, 20cm wide and 26cm deep.
