Highly decorative late 19th.c. Italian bookcase or display cabinet c.1890. Glazed top with two adjustable shelves over a cupboard base with a single drawer in the waist. By Serafino Zerega of Genova (Genoa) in the Renaissance style, heavily carved with figures, masks, fruit and scallop shells and raised on a pair of impressive claw feet. With a maker’s stamp to the drawer front. With a very small crack to the glass in the lower right corner of the front panel. Otherwise excellent condition, original throughout, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied.
