Large Victorian Infantry Officers sword in steel scabbard. Has a pierced brass gothic hilt and copper wire bound shagreen grip. Wide single edged acid etched blade engraved with VR and foliage both sides. Also has an acid etched panel with the owners initials of FH in gothic script. Marked E Thurkle, Maker, Soho, London. Very good condition for age.

Approximately 101cm overall and blade length 83cm.
