This is a good large Victorian dressing stool. It dates to around 1880 and is very opulent. The legs and X frame stretchers are turned reeded and ebonised and the legs are gilded. The stool is well upholstered in a rich gold material on a felt backing.

The condition of the stool is very good. The material is very clean and showing little signs of wear. The legs are solid. Wear to the gilding as you would expect in a period stool.

This is a very rich and impressive furnishing piece and would look equally good in a bedroom or principal room furnished in antiques.

The stool is 20 inches wide and 20 inches deep and is 18 inches high.
