A top quality pair of Pricket Candle Sticks. Made of a brassed metal with an iron rod runnung through them, to give added strength. In the Gothic style which has been a constant design throughout the ages, but I believe these to date from the 1930's and to be made in France.
The quality of the casting is very good, with well defined detail throughout.
The tripod base has three toes, bird like, feet to the ends, and dragons and what looks like wolves around the three sides. There are six dragons in total with two on each leg of the sticks. The column has three very attractive knots with the central one having a floral design, whilst the other two have a geometric design.
The top drip tray had three animals which again look like wolves holding it up.
It is very difficult to describe all the workmanship on these pricket sticks, but the photographs give a very good indication to the quality and workmanship.

The condition is superb with no discernable issues. The pins to the top have slight dings, but this does not effect the candles.

They stand 40 centimeters from the floor to the drip tray.
