Impressively large late 19th.c. Neoclassical brass urn presented on a later marble stand. Fine quality 27″ tall lidded urn with crisply cast floral detail and large hoof feet. On a well figured white marble pedestal stand with classical ormolu mounts and a revolving top. Good condition, marks from the feet on the urn on the marble would suggest the two pieces have been paired together for some time.
Dimensions Urn – diameter 8”, height 27”. Column – width 12”, depth 12”, height 43½”.
