This is a good large Chinese lamp with fabulous hand enamelled images throughout the body of the piece which dates from around 1850. The lamp is decorated with colourful images of warriors, some on horseback with flags, pennants and Chinese lanterns on castellated structures in the mountainous forests. The hand painted enamelled work is in the Famille vert taste, with good detail to all the characters. This has been completely rewired and has an attractive large, warm oyster coloured shade. The lamp is substantial in size measuring 90 cms overall in height with the shade being 50 cms in diameter and is in excellent condition.
