We are offering for sale this rather beautiful Japanese Famille Rose Hand Painted Porcelain Table Lamp and new shade from the makers of the Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge etc. TV series lampshades.

The porcelain base, which stands on a wooden oriental stand, is hand painted with a scene of two Japanese ladies in a landscape setting, one of whom is holding a rabbit on a cushion, and has an inscription in Japanese.

The shade is in the 'Balmoral' style and is made in mint silk, has a cream fringe overlaid with aqua beads and is finished with a toning, flat rope braid.

The lamp has been completely rewired in antique gold coloured, silk covered braided and twisted flex and has all new fittings, including safer switched lampholder and shade carrier. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Condition: Very good. The base is in very good condition with no damage, cracks or chips and the shade is new.
