We are offering for sale this rather beautiful Japanese Famille Rose Hand Painted Porcelain Table Lamp and new shade from the makers of the Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge etc. TV series lampshades.

The porcelain base, which stands on a wooden oriental stand, is hand painted with pink peonies, cherry blossom and a black bird, which we cannot identify, and has an inscription in Japanese.

The shade is in the Balmoral style is made in raspberry moire silk, has a cream fringe overlaid with cream and gold Venetian beading and is finished with a toning, three coloured scroll gimp.

The lamp has been completely rewired in antique gold coloured, silk covered braided and twisted flex and has all new fittings, including safer switched lampholder and shade carrier. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Diameter of base: 6" - 15.25cm

Material: Porcelain

Condition: Very good. The base is in very good condition with no damage, cracks or chips and the shade is new.
