Italian Marquetry Musical Dodecagon Table
Very decorative Italian marquetry dodecagon musical side table or lamp table, circa 1930's and in good condition.
The table has this wonderful marquetry throughout and the base colour is a deep olive, finished with a lacquer.
There is a segmented interior for storage of collectibles or smalls. When the lid is lifted, the table plays you a musical tune ( there is a winding key underneath, but if you would rather it didn't play the tune, you just let it wind down ), and the table stands on these very elegant sweeping legs.
Good condition and the leg joints are all solid too, so it will hold a good size lamp if required.
Measuring:
20 inches or 51 cm high
18 3/4 inches or 47.5 cm wide Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
