Indian Lohar Throwing Axe ,c1880
Late 19th century Indian Lohar throwing axe,c1880. This is a nice example ,the metalwork is highly decorated in the traditional style and there are still traces of original paintwork. The blade is still sharp with a good edge. The handle is bone, probably Ox bone with incised decoration. One of the metal bands securing the handle has split but very minor. Overall condition is good with the surface wear/marking you would expect from an old used weapon. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or have any questions.
