Hertfordshire Rifle volunteers Victorian Glengarry

A Glengarry for a member of the 2nd Battalion of the Hertfordshire volunteers.
The Hertfordshire volunteers were formed in Hertfordshire in 1859 to counter a possible French Invasion. They would later go on to serve in the second Boer War, WW1 and WW2 as part of the Hertfordshire Regiment.
The Glengarry was utilised by many British Regiments as the undress cap from circa the 1860’s to the end of the 19th century. This example is in generally good condition with a bit of moth damage and original Victorian badge as shown in the photographs . Postage and packing included in price within main landUk unfortunately we do not ship outside main land UK.
Returns accepted if we are notified via e mail or post, within 14 days of purchase. Item must be returned in condition purchased from Mainly Military Antiques at purchasers cost for refund to then be issued.
Please note that for all edged weapons, buyers must be over 18 to buy the item. Therefore buyers must prove this by sending, via e mail, a copy of photo ID such as passport or driving license before the item can be forwarded to them. This is required by the UK offensive Weapons Act 2019 and we apologise for this extra requirement.
