Hallmarked Silver Loose Powder Compact 1947
An enchanting hallmarked silver loose powder compact crafted by J Gloster in 1947. The delightful enamel is embellished with two birds perched amidst hanging branches and blossom. The enamel is fashioned into the classic Art Deco sunrise. A further enamel border is adorned with elegant swags. The interior case contains an excellent clear mirror and the original sifter. The base is decorated with a stylish engine turned design stamped with a full set of hallmarks. The whole piece is in excellent condition. The catches and hinges work perfectly. Measures 6.7 cm and weighs 68 grams. An immaculate pouch is included. This compact is ideal for use with loose face powder or as an impressive handbag mirror.
