A delightful fully hallmarked silver compact which would make an ideal 25th anniversary gift. This magnificent compact mirror is crafted in the shape of a clam-shell. We have not managed to capture the true beauty of this vanity. The compact is stunningly beautiful! This accessory was crafted by Renzo Cassetti c.1950 and assayed at Firenze (Florence, Italy - 210 FI - image five). This item comprises entirely of ornate fully hallmarked .800 silver with ornate engravings to all exterior surfaces. Florid Italianate engravings formed from many acanthus leaves give this piece great symbolism. The acanthus leaf symbolizes immortality / enduring life in many cultures. The mirror gives an accurate and clear reflection. The catch and hinge work properly. Measures 3 1/2 inches wide and weighs 62.4 grams. An immaculate pouch is included.
