We are offering this Victorian Gothic Revival ecclesiastical candlestick now converted to a table lamp and shade made by the company who provided the lamp shades for the Downton Abbey TV series. The circular base is weighted and stands upon 3 paw feet. There are two spiral columns with a central circular socle, the whole terminating in a brass dish with trefoil castellations.

The shade is in the 'Saltzburg' style and has been made in the William Morris fabric 'Strawberry Thief' in the chocolate and slate colourway. It is trimmed with toning braid and has vanilla coloured fringe and champagne beads all round.

The lamp has been rewired with antique gold coloured braided flex and has all new fittings, including a safer switched lampholder which does not enable the lamp to be switched on unless a bulb is fitted. As with all electrical items it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Diameter of shade: 17 3/4" - 45cm

Diameter of base: 10" - 25.4cm

Condition: Very good. As with all antique items there are a few minor signs of wear, mainly a few little black spots in the dish at the top, which do not show when the shade is in position. The shade is new.
