This is a good quality heavy cast iron double bed in excellent order dating from the mid Victorian era circa 1870. The bed has decorative brass detail and brass rail and bedknobs and is painted in a lovely clean white. The bed has its original tight fitting side irons and comes with a really practical upholstered double base that comes from the “And so to bed“ company so all you need is a standard double mattress. This is in beautiful clean condition and ready for use. It measures 206 cms long by 142 cms wide overall. The headboard is 152 cms high and the base board is 114 cms high.
