Good Quality Victorian Mahogany Mirrored Wardrobe
Here is a good quality Victorian wardrobe.
c1880.
The wardrobe is of a rounded corner design, with a shaped and moulded cornice to the top,over a frieze.
Below is a single door, fronted with the original oval mirror , which opens to reveal a hanging space, with a long brass hanging rail.
The mirrored front is flanked by elegant arched moulded panels.
The base section has one long drawer, with the original turned bun-handles.
Standing on a plinth base.
The mahogany has developed a lovely warm colour, with some attractive figuring to the wood.
The condition of the wardrobe is solid and sturdy, with general signs of use, some knocks and bumps, minor marks. Knocks to the corners of the mirrored door. Knock to the left back side, marks to the right side, all shown in the pictures. The mirror has a few minor spots around the edges, but overall is in good useable condition.
The wardrobe breaks down into three sections, the cornice lifts off, the central body lifts off of the drawer base.
Very solid sturdy and strong.
