A Superb and rare pair of late 19th Century Chinese Lacquered Marriage Cupboards of substantial size with a great storage capacity. The cabinets date from around 1890 and are beautifully lacquered, in a warm red bronze with the fronts profusely decorated with hand gilded Oriental figures and buildings in landscape. The pair of cupboard doors have large metal hinges and door plate mounts. The interior has two large shelves and a removable lid below with further storage beneath.
I excellent condition throughout these are extremely rare to find as a pair.
The cabinets are a great size measuring 132cm wide by 51cm deep by 186cm high.
