Glasgow school oak chair - John Ednie
Rare and stunning Glasgow school Arts & Crafts chair attributed to John Ednie (1876 - 1934) and most probably made for Wylie & Lochhead.
Made of oak with exotic inlay of a stylised bud on stem with an entwined leaf to centre back. This chair has a wonderful pierced heart to the centre apron of seat.
The drop is leather seat had four brass studs to each corner.The leather might be original - it has one tiny split and the seat has been re enforced primitively with foam and strapping.
Height 105cms. Width at front of seat 41cms. Width at back of seat 26cms. Depth 45cms. Seat height 46cms.
offered in good, untouched condition except for previously mentioned repair to seat. PLEASE NOTE, RED HOUSE ANTIQUES HAS NOW RETIRED.
