Georgian Walnut Tallboy Chest On Stand Of Drawers
Antique Georgian and later burr walnut tallboy chest on stand of drawers.
This is a rare chest with a good storage capacity. This is an 18th century chest with a later (poss early 20C) base (many chests of this style are like this).
Lovely proportions that are just right. Looks like a £10000 piece, but much more affordable.
Designed to be split into two halves for transport/getting up stairs.
This is a lovely chest, that is full of age, charm and character.
The oak lined drawers slide freely. No woodworm.
Overall maximum dimensions: 107cmW x 56cmD x 165cmH.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. Possibly re veneered 50 to 100 years ago and has later handles. The locks are missing.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able bodied person(s) for our driver to assist with carrying.
