Georgian Style Mahogany Twin Pillar Dining Table Twin Pillar Dining %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Here we have a very nice, very good quality late 19th century Georgian style solid mahogany twin pillar dining table. This example is a bit better than the usual twin pillar copies as it has been constructed using period timbers and as such the tops are good timber and a lovely colour.
The bases have plain turned columns with three nicely shaped swept down legs with moulded decoration, terminating in brass claw castors. The two "D" shaped ends can be tilted up at 90 degrees like a breakfast table.
The tops are lovely period timbers (probably originally from a couple of Georgian breakfast tables) and have a nice reeded moulding around the edge and have a mahogany crossbanding to the top. The table has its one original leaf which can be removed if required.
This table has been made by a very good cabinet maker and as such the design, size and shape are just right. The table is a lovely colour throughout.

SIZE 105" long with the leaf in by 46" wide by 29" high.
