Georgian Mahogany Glazed Bookcase
A Very Attractive Georgian Bookcase C.1780. Having a low waist and particularly elegant proportions.
With delicate glazing bars.
to doors with fully adjustable shelves. Two cupboard doors to base with applied
astragal mouldings and inverted quadrant corners. The cornice is cross banded
on the frieze. Standing on out swept bracket feet. The whole made from the choicest
cuts of mahogany and beautifully made. A true original colour and finish make it a
delightful piece of small and very desirable size. Suiting period room settings and also contemporary rooms. No damage or restoration.
Once belonged to Donald Coggan Archbishop of Canterbury.
